Maybe you’ve caught wind of Books Are My Fandom already. For those of you who haven’t yet, Books Are My Fandom is the blog I recently launced together with my blogging besties Jamie and Dani! And I am so excited to tell you all about this latest adventure of mine.

First let me tell you how I met Jamie and Dani. Somewhere back in July 2015 I made the decision to join Elise Kova’s Street Team to promote Elise’s first book Air Awakens. I started talking to Elise, as well as some other members of the Street Team. I was in Germany at the time and on my way back to the Netherlands after a succesful holiday in Sweden. I learned that another street team member, Dani, was going to be in Amsterdam the day after I came home and on a whim we decided to meet up (that’s right, the first international street team meet-up is a fact already). Dani, Jamie, Elise, and I ended up in one Twitter chat after that, and the rest is pretty much history. I talk everyday with them (and no, this is no exaggeration, we talk every single day). I met my best friends on Twitter. Never thought I’d say that, but I did, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

What started out as us joking around about teaming up and creating a blog together, soon became an idea that we started liking more and more. So we decided to combine forces and act on it. That’s right, Jamie (Books and Ladders), Dani (Dani Reviews Things), and I joined forces and now review books over at Books Are My Fandom, BAMF for short (and no, that’s no coincidence, haha).

We have tons of fun things in store for all of you. We’ll be buddying up to read and review books, in fact, our first group review of Carry On by Rainbow Rowell went up on Saturday! We made had a video chat discussing our thoughts on the book, which isn’t online yet because we’re silly and made a little mistake, but will be up as soon as possible. Fun fact: 3 hours of unedited video material to sort through, maybe there will be a blooper real somewhere in the forseeable future. Being on camera is a new thing for all three of us, so we’ll see how this works out, haha.

I hope you’ll check out Books Are My Fandom and that I’ve managed to transfer some of my excitement onto you guys! Because I am REALLY excited to work together with these two awesome ladies!
